1. Introduction

PartnerIn ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PartnerIn platform, a service that connects brands with content creators and influencers in Pakistan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (Pakistan) and applicable provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA).

By creating an account or using PartnerIn, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account information: Name, email address, password, and role (brand or creator).
  • Profile information: For brands — company name, industry, website, description, and logo. For influencers — display name, age, gender, city, niche, follower count, bio, social media handles, and profile photo.
  • Campaign data: Campaign briefs, budgets, deadlines, and content deliverable specifications created by brands.
  • Communications: Messages exchanged between brands and influencers through our platform.
  • Deliverables: Links and notes submitted by influencers as campaign deliverables.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction logs.
  • Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Cookies: Session cookies used to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Social media data: If you choose to sync your social profiles (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook), we retrieve publicly available metrics such as follower counts and engagement rates via authorised data providers. We do not store your social media passwords.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match brands with suitable influencers based on profile data
  • Facilitate campaign creation, applications, requests, and deliverable submissions
  • Enable messaging between brands and creators
  • Display your public profile to other users on the platform
  • Send transactional communications (e.g. account verification, campaign updates)
  • Improve platform features and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations under Pakistani law

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces legal effects without human review.

4. Data Sharing

Your information may be shared in the following circumstances:

  • Between users: Your profile information (name, niche, follower count, bio, social handles) is visible to other registered users. Your contact details and private messages are not shared publicly.
  • Service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by a court order, regulatory authority, or law enforcement in Pakistan under applicable law including PECA 2016.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred. You will be notified in advance.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (e.g. financial records, dispute resolution).

Messages and campaign records may be retained for up to 12 months after account deletion to resolve any outstanding disputes.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure authentication via Supabase Auth with hashed passwords
  • Role-based access controls limiting internal data access
  • Regular security reviews

No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by applicable data protection law.

7. Your Rights

Under Pakistan's Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

8. Children's Privacy

PartnerIn is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from logging in.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
